“Relationships don’t work the way they do on television and in the movies. Will they? Won’t they? And then they finally do, and they’re happy forever. Gimme a break. Nine out of ten of them end because they weren’t right for each other to begin with, and half of the ones who get married get divorced anyway, and I’m telling you right now, through all this stuff I have not become a cynic. I haven’t. Yes, I do happen to believe love is about pushing chocolate covered candies and, y’know, in some cultures a chicken. You can call me a sucker, I don’t care, because I do believe in it. Bottom line: it’s couples who are truly right for each other that wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don’t let is take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for the relationship every time. If it’s right, and they’re real lucky, one of them will say something.”

•June 20, 2008 • 1 CommentGonna give MS another go… but not on the shadower. Going to play the hermit a bit, see if MS can be fun again. Had Kristy post my Fan and Shield in her shop, and after taxes, I was almost 450mil richer. So now I can get some decent equips on the hermit. I’ll update soon.
A quick update
•May 9, 2008 • 1 CommentI can’t sleep and I can’t find anything on the internet to entertain me, so I guess I’ll post for the one person who reads this (I love you mom)… just messin. I checked out what maple’s big “showa” patch had to offer, and it definitely did not ignite any flames that may get me back on. I really haven’t been playing rose online either, I’m just not in an rpg mood. I think the biggest difference between the games is the fact that rose makes a great single player game, that you’re playing aside others, where as maple is a game where you need to be part of the community in the long run. Both have their pros and cons.
But enough about video games. My work is trying (and succeeding) to screw me over. I asked to be paid a differential rate to work overnight, since I worked first shift most of the week, and an overnight shift another night. Working the overnight shift throws your schedule off pretty bad, because one day you need to sleep during the day to prepare to stay up all night… then following work you need to take another nap, but still try to salvage the day. Well, they denied what I asked, and I told them I wouldn’t work that shift anymore… so in return, they cut most of my shifts. If I weren’t a poor college boy, I’d quit, but I need to find another job before I can put my two week notice in.
My girlfriend finished up her semester and moved back home. So now she’s only 5 minutes away… which means a lot less internet for me… and a lot more… well, I’ll be a happier camper. We’ve gone through this whole, move away, and come back then 5 years now… it kinda replaced the drill of getting out of school for the summer. Now when school ends, we get to see each other more. I’ve been commuting this year, so now she’s glad to be back, and I can’t wait for my next departure. Hopefully it’s sooner than later.
