“We’re all perfect models of imperfections”

My favorite band of the last 5 years is breaking up. The performed their last show Friday night (they’re playing one last show under a different name Monday night in Boston). The Receiving End of Sirens… As corny as it sounds, this band has changed (maybe even saved…) my life so much. Everyone needs something to be passionate about, whether it be art, cars, music, or kittens, we need something to be enthusiastic about. I’m a huge fan of well-written music… I’m not the picky type that hates on radio music either, but majority of my tastes are less known bands. I just like bands that write their own music, and don’t let the record companies destroy it by changing it for a broader audience.

If you want to listen to something that will move you, check out either one of there cds… spend the 10 dollars and buy it, a ripped version does not give the quality they deserve.

Breaking from Maple…

After hitting 140, I told myself I’d market to get skills and better gear… At first I had no motivation to get back to training, other shadowers inflated the price of crucial skills, and the economy got screwed over by MTS. Atleast when gacha came out, people still had to work a tiny bit to convert money to mesos, and mesos to gear. Now people can just get mommy’s credit card, and buy godly gear. Being the gamer that I am, I wanted to find a new game to play…

After my experience with Maple, I knew I didn’t wanna dedicate my time to another Nexon game, so that ruled on Mabinogi. I’ve also played FlyFF before, and wasn’t really impressed with it. I’ve dabbled on WoW as well, but it wasn’t community based enough for me. I finally stumbled upon Rose Online, and after putting in hours of training / questing and reading up on character builds, I’m extremely impressed with the game. There is a monthly fee, but it’s free to download, and they do offer 7 days free. It still seems cheaper to play this, with one flat rate, rather than dressing up a maple avatar and paying for a pet.

Anyways, this is really only a break from maple, although the game has been destroyed by the company hosting it, I still have my friends on it. If anyone wants to join me on Rose, that’d be super. Check it out on youtube.
